Control of electricity facilities on smaller fishing vessels and cargo ships 02.11.2017 - Vassnes Power AS was DSB approved.
They are now one of the approved companies for the control of the electrical plant on board in smaller fishing vessels and cargo ships. The electrical installation on board fishing vessels and cargo ships below 15 meters shall be checked by so-called approved electrophoresis in accordance with applicable regulations. It is the shipowner responsible for controlling the vessel's electrical plant. Around 60 businesses along the coast are accepted for such control. A list of accepted companies can be found in the Electricity Register. About the control scheme: The Norwegian Maritime Directorate has raised the certificate limits and introduced an alternative control system for fishing vessels and cargo ships under 15 meters. This vessel group shall be verified by approved undertakings to issue vessel instructions. DSB has established a corresponding control system for the electrical plant for these vessels.
